Pigeon Park Savings

Pigeon Park Savings is a socially responsible business model providing essential banking services to residents of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Pigeon Park Savings is a partnership between Vancity Savings Credit Union and the PHS Community Services Society. Pigeon Park Savings recognizes that Downtown Eastside low-income residents are entitled to financial services that meet their unique needs. With the equality of financial services for all citizens as a central goal, the bank provides homeless, drug addicted, and low income residents with a place to save and manage their money.  There are currently 3,500 active accounts as part of this program.
